The Content Management provider Mediasurface has recently announced that it has become a publicly traded company on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange (ticker MSR).

The transaction, handled by brokers KBC Peel Hunt, is now complete and admission to the market secured with £2m in funding being raised. The pre-money valuation of the company was £7.2m and the post money £9.2m. Shares for the participating investors were priced at 12p each.

In a move sure to excite more chattering keyboards than real cash Google has announced they will begin sharing AdSense revenue with the users of their online Blogging service, www.blogger.com.

The phpCMS team has today announced the latest release of phpCMS, the first update in over a year.

phpCMS is an OpenSource content management system published under the GNU Public License. It is a flatfile-based system that is meant to be easily deployed in most hosting environments. The product is freely available for download from Source Forge.

In today's global environment, there are many competitive pressures driving law firms, big and small, to incorporate new technologies that will help increase the productivity of fee earners and improve efficiencies within the firm. Refresh Software, today announced the release of SiteRefresh v5, with a revolutionary Java/J2EE Core, offering JSR-170 (level 2) features and support of the latest Service-Oriented Architectures.

Just shortly after Interwoven announced a Records Management acquisition, FileNet has announced the general availability of their Records Manager suite.

FileNet Records Manager is built upon FileNet’s Business Process Management (BPM) and Enterprise Content Management technology, which facilitates records management by supporting the strict lifecycle requirements for corporate documents.

The Records Manager product was originally announced in mid July 2004.

New Hampshire based Ektron, has recently updated their popular eWebEditPro+XML web-based editing component. Of note is an enhanced API, giving developers further abilities to manipulated data and behavior in server-side code.

eWebEditPro+XML integrates with Web content management systems and other Web-based applications to enable non-technical users to create “smart” forms and capture and validate data based on specific criteria, all from a browser window.

PaperThin, a mid-market Web Content Management (CMS) vendor, recently announced that they have been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for New England.

The Fast 50 is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area by Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services firms. Program winners are ranked based on their percentage growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 1999 – 2003.

Macromedia today announced the immediate availability of the Macromedia Web Publishing System, Macromedia Contribute 3, and Macromedia FlashPaper 2.

The Web Publishing System (WPS) enables tens, hundreds, or thousands of content contributors to publish websites for internal and external communications using market-leading Macromedia Studio MX 2004, Contribute 3, FlashPaper 2, and Contribute Publishing Services.
