Livelink ECM Preps CVPS for e-Frisking

In more positive news for ECM vendor Open Text, Central Vermont Public Service (CVPS), the largest of Vermont’s 21 utility companies, just implemented the company’s Livelink ECM. Livelink will assist in managing CVPS’s e-documentation and records for compliance purposes and e-discovery.

At present there are already prêt-a-porter copyright solutions in place for fluid digital content. Creative Commons, for example, utilizes a global copyright protection model tailored specifically for information-sharing in the Web 2.0 frontier.

O3 SpacesIn a match made somewhere near heaven O3Spaces, B.V. — the open source challenger to Microsoft SharePoint and provider of the O3Spaces Workplace Collaboration platform — and Linux distro vendor Xandros have announced an agreement to provide OpenDocument and MS Office document collaboration, management and retention services for the forthcoming release of Xandros Server 2.0 Standard Edition.

O3Spaces targets SharePoint, whilst Xandros chips away at Windows Server and Windows XP sales.

Microsoft and Google Jump OpenAjax Boat

Open Ajax AllianceMade true late yesterday and announced just this morning, Microsoft and Google have signed-up with the OpenAjax Alliance.

Just over a year after formation this makes 73 different Alliance members now working to standardize how the world implements and leverages the technologies we all fondly call Ajax.
