Dachis Group not only announced that it is officially part of the new Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer Platform, but also some new capabilities in its own social analytics platform -- integration with Facebook's Insights API.

Dachis Group No Stranger to Facebook Developments

Dachis Group was one of the first companies to be a part of the Facebook developer program. This was way back when Facebook started in 2009. In fact Dachis Group companies were three of the nine developers in the original PDC program.

Today, Dachis is one of the largest partners, responsible for the creation of 500 custom Facebook applications, tabs, and Facebook connect integrations for global clients.

Monitoring Social Performance

It's called the Social Performance Monitor. Announced in January, it is platform that will monitor and measure a company's performance across all of its social media marketing activities and provide insights into how to improve.

The social analytics platform does a number of things including:

  • Performance Insights
  • Event Correlation Insights
  • Conversation Insights
  • Insights Engine

This is a free online tool that just picked up some added functionality:

Content Insight

Content Insight is the integration of Facebooks Insights API in Dachis's Social Performance Monitor (SPM) platform. With this new integration, customer's of Dachis SPM can now analyze Facebook posts and combined with analysis from other data flows determine things like post reach, engaged users, sentiment, virality score, and more.

More specifically you get:

  • Post Reach: The number of unique people who have seen the post.
  • Engaged Users: The number of unique people who have clicked anywhere on your post.
  • Sentiment: A measure from -100 to 100 capturing the overall sentiment for the post.
  • Virality Score: The number of unique people who have created a story from your Page Post as a percentage of the number of unique people who've seen it.
  • Post PTAT: "People Talking About This" is the number of unique users who have created a "story" about a page in a seven-day period, such as liking a page or posting on a wall.

Content Insight also integrates with Dachis's Advocate Insight application, a SaaS service that helps organizations find their brand advocates.

That's a Lot of Big Data

According to Dachis, it monitors 10 billion social behaviors and over 50 million social signals, including comments, posts, tweets, mentions and replies. The Social Performance Platform currently supports 30,000 brands with 100 million social accounts across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Tumbr, Google+, Pinterest and many more.

If you are struggling to understand how well your social media marketing activities are doing and how happy your customers are with your brand, this looks to be a platform worth checking out.
