eZ systems is on the move once again with the announcement of its new partnership with IT specialists EPAM, and the move comes just as eZ Systems prepares to release the Etna version of its Enterprise CMS software.
The move is another indicator of how strong eZ Systems continues to be for open source content management solutions, and comes on the heels of Gartner's inclusion of the company in its 2011 Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management. EPAM's Content Competency Center is used in combination with some of the most powerful WCM vendors including Oracle and Adobe/Day. That means eZ Systems could see a boost in confidence from potential customers who worry about implementation of an open source enterprise system.
Open Source and Cloud-Based
In the fast-growing sector of open source and cloud-based WCM systems, it is precisely this kind of partnership that can further solidify a company's position. Because eZ Systems just pushed its flagship Publish platform to the cloud in February, the EPAM team will undoubtedly be enlisted to help customers build new products and manage the new, more agile system.
EPAM brings expertise in consulting, implementation, solution architecture and support services to eZ products. Additionally, eZ Systems will debut its Etna release May 11, and with EPAM now on board, the roll out could be even smoother.
“The combination of the openness and dynamic evolution of the eZ platform with the global delivery capabilities of EPAM offers customers support and scalability they need to leverage open-source in mission-critical enterprise applications,” Alex Lyashok, Vice President, Technology Solutions of EPAM said in a statement.
