What do you do most on your mobile device? If you're a lot like the average smartphone or tablet user, you use apps to check everything from the weather to your social media statuses, take and share photos, as well as shop, read the news and well, just about anything else.
As the time spent on apps continues to grow, the companies behind them are trying to leverage insights about your activities. But it isn't easy.
Maximize App Engagement
A new platform from RadiumOne aims to make it easier for app developers and brand marketers to integrate highly personalized, hyper-targeted mobile push notifications into their overall mobile marketing strategies.
Many consumer-facing apps allow users to allow push notifications so they can be alerted about such things as sales, due dates on bills or simply when someone has engaged with a post or photo online. But it isn't always easy to create and deliver unique and advanced messaging to your customers that responds to their behavior and engagement. Until now.
RadiumOne Connect is customer relationship management (CRM) software being offered without cost to brands so they can send highly personalized, hyper-targeted mobile push notifications. It also gathers data insights so marketers can build stronger customer relationships and optimize future intelligent push and online display campaigns on mobile, desktop and Facebook, the company claims.
How does it work?
First, sign up and then login into your dashboard, where you can experiment with a host of functionality, including:
Create Messaging: With the ability to create unlimited messages, marketers can engage with customers through mobile notifications to deliver messages about products, special promotions, company updates and more.
Connect Customer Data: Marketers can access display data, mobile data, offline data and any 3rd party data their brand may have together to understand customers across devices.
Target and Segment Audience Messaging: RadiumOne Connect allows brands to identify and segment mobile customers based on their behavior, location and demographics to send relevant messages that truly resonate.
Create Custom Reports: Through the RadiumOne Connect interface, marketers can view the analytics needed and create personalized reports. Brands can track the metrics most relevant to internal teams including marketing, executives, business development and engineering.
Optimize Messages: Marketers can access retention and engagement analysis to understand which messages resonate with which audiences to optimize and expand campaigns to the most relevant users.
The Apex of Apps
According to Flurry, the US consumer in 2013 spends about 2 hours and 38 minutes a day on smartphones and tablets, with 80 percent of that time (2 hours and 7 minutes) spent inside apps. So marketers need to do all they can to remain relevant to capture mobile users' attention.
At the beginning of 2013, there were 800,000 apps in Google Play, a digital distribution platform for applications for the Android operating system, and approximately 775,000 apps in Apple's iOS app store. If your app doesn't deliver an optimal experience, users will find one that does.
