Callas Software to Release pdfToolbox Server 4
![]()
Callas software, specialists in software for the analysis and processing of PDF files, released an update for their pdfToolbox 4 plug-in that will make pdfToolbox Server 4 available for purchase on October 27th.
Thankfully, the all-in-one PDF production tool pdfToolbox Server 4 is no longer tailored for prepress users. That means you can know almost nothing and still be able to complete common to eclectic tasks in next to no time!
Giving PDF's Wings
Callas pdfToolbox Server 4 is based on one technology platform. It offers an easy way to automate the PDF workflow by allowing users to perform several actions to a PDF at once. All new features including extensive PDF correction, page manipulation, preparing PDF presentation and imposition can now be done fully automatically.
A new and easy-to-use interface of the pdfToolbox 4 plug-in keeps the server running, while maintaining the highest processing speed.
pdfToolbox Server 4 is also an ideal companion for Enfocus Switch. Users of Enfocus Switch need merely one application for correction, color conversion, creation of EPS files and imposition. This results in easily increased productivity, and we like the sound of that.
pdfToolbox 4 Updates
Callas software is also releasing an update of pdfToolbox 4 plug-in with some additional features that will also be found in the server version.
A feature that especially got our attention allows users to explore and export the XMP information that is embedded in the PDF file to a fully-configurable report in XML or tab-delimited format. The information associated with the document and the individual images within the PDF can be retrieved as well.
Other new features include:
- The converting of registration color to black only
- The limiting of DeviceLink conversion to specific objects
- Easy installation of customer DeviceLink profiles
Callas software will be presented at Graph Expo 2008, October 26-29, 2008, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, at booth 5463. Try it out and tell us what you think!
