At present, Document Management represents the second or third largest spend by the Public Sector outside of IT. 2004 is the target set for all Government Records to be available electronically, while the NHS target is for all new records to be held on computer by 2004/5. Document Management is obviously one of the main supports for the Government's eGovernment initiative. However, the complexity of the Public Sector Tendering Process is a concern.
