Additional Functionality

In addition, the new release incorporates the following in an effort to meet the needs of Mozilla’s large and open community:

  • New tools for IP and user banning
  • Transactional page management
  • The addition of MediaWiki-like talk pages
  • New functionality that matches and exceeds MediaWiki templates

With many new additions and more than 100 new functions, version 8.05 is poised to “lead as the most powerful platform for connecting enterprise systems, web services, and Web 2.0 applications”. MindTouch boasts that these tools make it “easier than ever” to create content, systems automation, dynamic reports and situational applications.
