A Multilingual Deki Wiki for Mozilla

No matter how you say it, MindTouch has announced the release of MindTouch Deki Wiki “Jay Cooke” v8.05.
Driven in part by the requirements of Mozilla, which selected MindTouch for the upcoming re-launch of their Mozilla Developer Community, the open source enterprise collaboration and integration platform known for its innovations in internationalization/localization, search and user experience, has aimed its sights on revolutionizing multilingual content management.
Language Related Features
MindTouch Deki Wiki v8.05 introduces the following new language-related features:
Polyglot: Allows Mozilla to host all languages as a single site. Languages can be specified by sections and pages, automatically adapting the user interface of Deki Wiki to the appropriate language.

Language search tool: Users can search across all languages and results are prioritized by the user’s default language.
OpenSearch: Allows integration of search with other applications simultaneously.
Additional Functionality
In addition, the new release incorporates the following in an effort to meet the needs of Mozilla’s large and open community:
- New tools for IP and user banning
- Transactional page management
- The addition of MediaWiki-like talk pages
- New functionality that matches and exceeds MediaWiki templates
With many new additions and more than 100 new functions, version 8.05 is poised to “lead as the most powerful platform for connecting enterprise systems, web services, and Web 2.0 applications”. MindTouch boasts that these tools make it “easier than ever” to create content, systems automation, dynamic reports and situational applications.
MindTouch Deki Wiki is one of the only platforms that delivers polyglot, content transforms and allows users to connect systems and easily create data mashups and situational apps. They are hopeful that its flexible architecture will have the power to bring people together in any language.
