Create PowerPoint Like Presentations for iPad and iPhone With HTML5

sliderocket_logo.jpgThe gradual slide from desktop to phone or tablet continues with SlideRocket's new portable presentation player for Apple's gadgets.

Slide On Over

SlideRocket started its cloud-based presentation creator back in 2006 and is keeping pace with the demands of modern Enterprise 2.0 working practices by offering a presentation viewer for those who want to show their creations on an iPad or iPhone. While the days of the hefty laptop aren't exactly numbered, this looks like another small step in the right direction to casting them off the shoulders of aching executives.

SlideRocket offers a SaaS web-based presentation system that has all the features of PowerPoint or Keynote with smooth transitions, 3D effects and access to charts and other data. To help presenters who need to make an extra-impressive impact,  it also offers a marketplace where users can buy extra content, adding impact to their presentations.

Online, All the Time

Dynamic data can be integrated from resources like Google Docs spreadsheets, so users can show up to the minute stats in their presentations. The marketplace can be used to add themes, stock photography, audio, video, illustrations, animations and plugins.

You can then publish the presentation to its intended audience and can be viewed by iPad/iPhone toting masses (with Android support coming soon). There is no app to download, it works within the device's browser using HTML5 instead of Flash. SlideRocket uses the touch features of the device to help navigate a slideshow or interact with it.

SlideRocket is available in Lite mode for free, in Pro mode for US$ 24 a month or at variable enterprise rates with various online storage options.
