Ephox,EditLive,Content Authoring Tools,IBM Lotus Notes Quickr
Time to make authoriing content in Lotus Quickr quick and easy. IBM and Ephox have announced the integration of EditLive into IBM's collaboration software, Lotus Quickr. This is just another integration in a long line of integrations for EditLive.

With Lotusphere happening in Orlando right now, you can expect to see a number of big announcements coming out of IBM.

Already used in IBM's Web Content Management software, EditLive, Ephox's web-based authoring tool is now available for Lotus Quickr. Lotus Quickr is IBM's collaboration software for the enterprise, providing users the ability to create blogs and wikis among other Web 2.0 capabilities.

EditLive will provide Quickr users a Word-like interface for editing content, including the following features:

  • Clean copy and paste from Word
  • Spell check as you type
  • Word-like track changes
  • Robust table and list editing
  • True WYSIWYG styles support

“EditLive! is a great fit with Lotus Quickr because it makes it even easier to collaborate on rich web content,” said Jelan Heidelberg, IBM offering manager, Lotus team collaboration and document services. “The powerful, intuitive capabilities of EditLive! will enable business users to leverage the Web 2.0 capabilities of Quickr, such as wikis and blogs. In addition, Quickr customers often ask for the ability to paste content from Microsoft Word documents into Quickr pages. EditLive! provides that capability."

In addition, for those users with both Quickr and Lotus WCM, Ephox provides integrated functionality between the two.
