Spring is a time of change: the plants bloom, the sun stays out, and global CMS companies change their rosters. CMS super star Day Software has brought in a new CEO for the company, Eric Hansen.
Hansen, who will take on his new responsibility by June 2, 2008, is a software industry veteran with over 30 years experience as a senior exec at such notable companies as Interwoven, Tibco, Siemens and Apple.
“Erik brings a unique combination of skills and professional experience to Day,” said Michael Moppert, founder and chairman of Day Software. “He knows our two core markets extremely well: With Interwoven he has been very successful in the area of Content Management. At Tibco Erik built up their European operations in record time. He was aggressively growing the company’s market share, revenues and profitability and made Tibco one of the undisputed leaders in the area of infrastructure software.”
A CEO with a Solid History of Experience
Hansen's latest gig was leading US ECM vendor Interwoven's European operations as Senior Vice President and General Manager EMEA. Before that, he was heading the European operations of Netegrity, a large provider of identity and access management solutions. Prior to Netegrity, Hansen served as President EMEA at Tibco, where he built the software vendor's European operations into a raging success. He also served as Executive Vice President and General Manager Operations of Siemens Pyramid Inc., a 100% owned subsidiary of Siemens.
I guess the point we're trying to make is that the dude has earned his stripes, and so Day should have a good captain on deck. And what happens to the current CEO? Michael Moppert, founder and CEO of Day Software for over 15 years will stick around as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Erik Hansen is poised to take Day to the next level, noting that all the necessary elements for accelerated growth are in place. “Day offers the industry’s most innovative content management product portfolio with a unique mix of applications and infrastructure solutions. We are the internationally recognized leader of the industry’s new standard for content management. We have an excellent customer base and OEM relationships with some of the most recognized technology vendors such as IBM and Oracle. The company is financially healthy and has delivered continued profitable growth” he stated.
Hansen plans to accelerate Day's positive trends by continuing to grow the company's content management applications while accelerating the growth of the content infrastructure business, which he sees as one of Day's strongest points.
Day Software is a well known provider of integrated content, portal and digital asset management software. We wish the company success with their new CEO. Visit Day Software for more info.
