Ascentium Acquires UK-based SharePoint Guru Artemis

Artemis, known by the Greeks as the goddess of the hunt, seems to have been hunted.
Ascentium Corporation, an interactive marketing and technology consultancy, announced the acquisition of top Microsoft UK SharePoint Products and Technologies partner, Artemis Corporation.
Artemis, a Microsoft Certified Gold Partner, is well known throughout Microsoft enterprise content management (ECM) and SharePoint communities as thought leaders in compliance, governance and unified communication solutions. They received two Global Awards at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in 2007. Artemis also recently launched RAPID for Office SharePoint Server 2007, a classification framework that enables organizations to maintain compliance.

Artemis can now offer the strategic and complementary services of Ascentium, including analytics, interactive marketing, CRM, and business intelligence in addition to their SharePoint and ECM expertise.
The acquisition serves as an integral stepping stone to broadening Ascentium’s impact across the Atlantic as Artemis becomes its' first international office.
Both parties seem excited by the acquisition noting that pooling their ECM and SharePoint expertise, along with a number of other Ascentium services, will result in being able to deliver customers "the most innovative solutions to solve their content management and collaboration challenges…like never before."
With more than a decade of experience, Artemis' history of innovative solutions that transform the way their customers do business merges well with Ascentium's substantial growth in a number of areas including content management, collaboration, creative and marketing.
Also benefiting from their partnership is of course Microsoft who notes that this merger and acquisition will “better serve the high demand for SharePoint-powered solutions in Europe.”
