West coast CMSers, it's time to get yo' summit on. The Gilbane Group and Lighthouse Seminars have announced that the 2008 CM Pros U.S. Spring Summit will take place on June 17, in conjunction with the fourth Annual Gilbane San Francisco Conference which is June 18-20 at the Westin Market Hotel in San Francisco. The summit will offer attendees an in-depth forum for discussing the business and technical side of managing and delivering dynamic content.
Content Management Systems are generally viewed as being comprised of three predominant components: acquisition, management and delivery. The summit will focus on the delivery component of CMS, providing attendees with tactical real world solutions for delivering quality CMS despite increasing demands of content presentation.

Steve Powers, Senior Analyst with Forrester Research will by keynoting the event. He will be addressing the recent trend of enterprises using rich internet applications (RIA) frameworks like Ajax, JavaFX, Flex and Silverlight, and how these applications may force organizations to step back and re-think Web content management strategies.
Other speakers include Christine Pierpoint, Senior Consultant at Welchman Consulting, whose topic will be "the marriage of Web 2.0 and Governance", and Michael Wechner, co-founder of Wyona, on "The integration of (Open) Social Networks". Topics to be addressed by other speakers include Multi-Channel Publishing, Web 2.0, RIA, CM mashup and rich internet applications in the real world.
