The group over at Day Software has been very busy these days. Not only have they launched their own developer portal — dev.day.com — but they have entered into an OEM agreement with Exstream Software to bundle their products to create content-centric interactive applications.

Specifically, Day’s products: CRX Repository, Communiqué (CQ) Workflow and CQ User Interface will be integrated with Exstream’s products: Dialogue and Dialogue Live.

We’ve covered Day’s product lines and technologies extensively over the past year or more. They are well known for the work they do with JSR 170 — Content Repository for Java Technology API standard. In the last year they have made updates to a number of their products.

Exstream’s Dialogue product is a platform for building and deploying interactive document applications across the enterprise. It plugs into various sources such as CRM systems, databases, ECM systems and print and mail factories and deploys across a number of communications channels including the web, call centers, marketing and business documents.

“Day’s content-centric infrastructure products are unique in the market and will allow our customers to better leverage the strategic value of their interactive document applications,” said Neal Gottsacker, senior vice president at Exstream Software. “Day’s infrastructure technologies create openness and harmonize access to information, providing increased functionality and strengthening branding initiatives across the enterprise.”

Just another day for Day Software who is known for partnering with other vendors providing solutions to integrate third party content repositories.
