DocuShare Enterprise CMS Reaches Across to Asia Pacific

xerox_logo_2009.jpgThe Xerox Corporation (news, site) is continuing market expansion across the globe for its enterprise content management solution Docushare. It announced that it has entered into an agreement with Fuji Xerox to make DocuShare available in the Asia Pacific region.

Pacific Region ECM Growth To Reach 15%

That DocuShare platform is now available not only in Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and any other country in the region that will have it, but it is also available in Japan and China.

Research Analyst firm Gartner stressed the importance of this market earlier this year when it estimated that the cumulative aggregate growth rate for enterprise content management solutions in the Asia Pacific region will hit 15.5% by 2012, well ahead of the US or Europe (Gartner, “Forecast: Enterprise Software Markets, Worldwide, 2007-2012, 4Q Update,” by Tom Eid et al, 9 December 2008).

With this new deal, the company says that it will be able to guarantee the secure management of information between geographically distant offices, which given the distances involved in the Pacific Rim will be an added attraction.

“The secure management of information between geographically distributed offices is one of the most challenging elements facing international corporations,” said David Smith, vice president, DocuShare Business Unit, Xerox Corporation.

The alliance between the two branches of Xerox includes two applications on a single platform: DocuShare for basic content services, and DocuShare CPX for advanced content and business process automation.
