Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Marketshare
According to a recent IDC report Enterprise CMS vendor EMC (acquirer of Documentum) now holds the largest share of the Content Management market.
"The content management software market — including document management, capture and image management, Web content management, digital asset management, and records management — grew 9.6% in 2005," said Melissa Webster, program director, Content Technologies and Digital Media at IDC.
"Growth in the content management market is being driven by the need to better manage and leverage content as well as the need to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage risk."
