Last time we talked about Equivio, we discussed its role in early case assessment. Today Equivio (news, site) has released version 3.0 of Equivio>Relevance, offering more features for users to manage and prioritize documents and data.
Equivio>Relevance always gave users advanced capabilities to measure, manage and discover relevant documents and other electronic data. New features in 3.0 are based upon feedback from customers and aim to bring more flexibility, control and accuracy into the eDiscovery process.
Enhancing the User's Experience
As Equivio’s customer base expands, so do its services. The more law firms, corporations and government agencies are involved with the eDiscovery process, the more their experiences can help influence the evolving needs of today's complex and cost-sensitive eDiscovery market. Such input has influenced the latest release of Equivio>Relevance and as a result, it contains new features and improvements designed to streamline the workflow and enhance the user experience.
Among the new functionality that users can enjoy in version 3.0 include:
- One-pass multiple issue management -- supports concurrent tagging for all issues, enabling one-pass review of the document collection.
- Rolling loads and ranking catch-up mechanism -- includes enhanced, built-in support for rolling loads, monitoring the knowledge accumulated in earlier loads to accelerate the processing of subsequent loads.
- Self-configuring algorithms -- automatically determines the optimal configuration of the analytical model, depending on characteristics of the data being processed.
- Enhanced document import capabilities -- supports text extract as a fully automated component within the import process, rather than as a separate preliminary process.
The release also includes several other new features, such as GUI improvements and support for Oracle V10g. In addition, the Equivio software development kit (SDK) has been updated to include all new features and enhancements in Equivio>Relevance V3.0 to support the needs of OEM customers.
