The email and file archiving solution provider has been named a Visionary Vendor by Gartner, Inc. in its “Magic Quadrant for E-Mail Active Archiving.” But it didn't happen over night. The Magic Quadrant represents a particular marketplace at and for a specific time period. Gartner analyzes vendors about how they measure up against each other based upon two criteria: completeness of vision and ability to execute.
The Magic Quadrant then rates the participants into one of four quadrants: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries, Niche Players. While Gartner urges the industry not to take these rankings as law, only as research, the Magic Quadrant tends to highlight vendors who are ahead of the curve.
