Nuxeo Receives Honor from Red Herring
Red Herring has announced that Nuxeo, known for their Open Source Enterprise CMS, has received a Red Herring 100 Europe award for being one of the top 100 companies leading the future of technology. The annual awards are bestowed upon the top 100 private technology companies from the EMEA region.
Over 700 privately-held companies were considered for the award, and the editorial staff at Red Herring analyzed everything from the company’s management team and ability to properly execute their strategy to their financial data and attention to research and development.
The awards will be presented later this week at the Red Herring Venture Market Europe 2007 event in Cannes, France.
Stéfane Fermigier, Nuxeo’s Founder and CEO, said in a statement today, “This award reflects our commitment to innovation and is also a testament to our successful collaboration with customers, business partners and Open Source communities. We also believe it signifies our potential for worldwide growth in the coming years”. He concluded: “I would like to thank the Open Source communities, including the Apache, Eclipse, Java and JBoss projects, for providing many of the necessary tools and infrastructure that have made our project a success. We are the living proof that it is possible to launch an ambitious technology product without VC funding, by leveraging Open Source innovation and open collaboration.”
