Records management specialist OmniRIM has unveiled a new connector for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. The new bridge links MOSS to OmniRIM 7 bringing integrated electronic and physical records management to SharePoint users.
From the comfort of the SharePoint interface, users will now be able to distinguish between record types and manage document retention. In addition, users can implement a centralized "Federated File Plan", applicable to all physical and electronic records in the organization, while the records themselves remain in separate SharePoint Server repositories.
OmniRIM 7 eConnector also extends SharePoint by adding physical records and retention policy management capabilities, enabling users to more quickly retrieve data relevant to business intelligence, eDiscovery and compliance needs.
“Our customers come to us because of the extensive capabilities of our physical records management software. Its comprehensiveness is simply unrivalled,” said Art Bellis, VP Sales and Compliance, OmniRIM Solutions. “And by working with Microsoft and our partners, we are certain that OmniRIM 7 will provide users of SharePoint Server 2007 with enhanced functionality and significant value.”
OmniRIM also provide connectors for EMC Documentum, IBM FileNet, and Iron Mountain IM Connect.
If you're looking for paper and digital records management through any of those, through SharePoint, or as a standalone product, go to OmniRIM to learn more.
