All the action has been happening at the Microsoft Technology Centers, where both companies have presented enterprises with how to plan, build and test regulatory compliance solutions.
Joining OTEX Forces with SharePoint
The Microsoft Technology Centers (MTCs) are located in 20 cities around the world and offer a collection of resources – from software and hardware, to services and access to Microsoft partners.
Open Text installed its products at MTCs in Munich, New York and London (Reading), with more MTCs coming later this year.
The goal is to show off five regulatory compliance-related business scenarios for SharePoint 2007/2010, including
- eDiscovery and litigation readiness
- Information lifecycle management
- Document Management and Records Management
- Case Management Solutions for SharePoint
- SAP Interoperability with SharePoint (coming later in 2010)
Manus Manum Lavat, or “Better Together”
Targeting mutual customers, the Waterloo and Redmond giants follow the “Manus manum lavat” approach in promoting how a slew of Open Text ECM products can work on the Microsoft platform.
They go even further and focus on specific industry segments -- including financial services, public sector, energy and utilities, and oil and gas.
