Oracle Further Integrates Stellent Assets

By Angela Natividad

Perhaps to celebrate a full year since its acquisition of Stellent, Oracle has updated its suite of content management offerings, including its hard-earned Stellent products.

There’s something to put in the family scrap book.

Updates include:

  • New certification with Oracle BPEL Process Manager to Oracle Imaging and Process Management 10g Release 3, as well as broader certs for Oracle apps like Financial Management, PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management, and third-party apps like SAP ArchiveLink.
  • A newly-customizable interface for Oracle Imaging and Process Management 10g Release 3. Thankfully, performance has also been improved via streamlined management of storage devices, and optimized load balancing.

  • A new web services API for Oracle Information Rights Management 10g Release 3. Supported for Adobe Acrobat, PDF watermarking and 256-bit encryption was also included.

Solutions go from US$ 500 per named user plus, to US$ 1000 per named user plus. The Imaging and Process Management 10g Release 3 can also be ordered at US$ 50,000 per processor.

In an odd bid earlier this month, Oracle opted to implement Joomla! to build a major web portal instead of using Stellent technology.
