Prepare for a May 12 SharePoint 2010 Launch
The official launch date for SharePoint 2010 (news, site) is circling the net and like everyone else interested in SharePoint, we have marked our calendar with a great big exclamation mark.
The Big Event
On May 12 at 11am ET, Microsoft's Stephen Elop, President of the Microsoft Business Division, will officially open the door to SharePoint 2010 and Office 2010 in a live virtual event. During the keynote you will be able to submit questions for a live Q&A and, if you have a little time to spare, there will be a number of on-demand sessions demonstrating the value these products can provide your organization.
April is actually expected to be the month in which SharePoint 2010 is released RTM, and you can bet we will be watching every day in that month carefully.
Ramping Up in Preparation
This doesn't give you a lot of time to get ready. You can download the betas and starting trying things out. But if you don't have time or want a little extra information to make things go smoother, we have some light SharePoint 2010 reading for you:

We have a lot more information on SharePoint 2010. You can troll the archives here. And you can expect a lot more to come out our door, including a closer look at search, web apps and business intelligence.
What are your Intentions Toward SharePoint 2010
This is the question we are asking in our current poll. Well, actually the question is "Is Your Organization Planning to Implement SharePoint 2010?". There's still time to vote, but the results so far are very interesting:
