Recycling Can Be Tricky; CYA Erases ECM Trashbin Blips

CYA is clearly into long-term sustainability. Having brought records management integrity to IBM's FileNet, then addressed Smart Recovery for EMC, the company is now tackling recycle bin solutions for the enterprise.
CYA Recycle Bin is a hosted self-restore solution for enterprise CMS users. Its intention is to guard against information loss at the user, administrative and system levels sans system or application downtime.
In short, the Recycle Bin enables you to restore accidental deletions of documents or folders you shouldn't be getting rid of. It also renders users independent of admins, who typically need to approve information restoration -- generally the last thing on their minds.
This may sound like a small offering, but apparently CYA is the only firm providing a portfolio of granular recovery and object integrity solutions for the three tiers of ECM (user, admin, system).
Its SmartRecovery offering also plays nicely with EMC NetWorker, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, and Symantec VERITAS NeetBackup. The data loss window can be reduced to about 15 minutes.

Hi Angela,
Thank you very much for this post about our new CYA Recycle Bin. There are a couple of clarifications that will ease any possible confusion for your readers:
1. You mention that CYA Recycle Bin is a hosted self-restore solution. While it does indeed provide self-restore capabilities and is a Web-based solution, thereby taking the pressure off of IT staff who usually have much bigger worries than recovering from partial information loss incidents,--it's not technically hosted as in a SaaS model. The software is deployed to each user and integrated into their Web-based UI.
2. Protection at the user, administrative and system level is accomplished with our portfolio of products including CYA SmartRecovery and CYA Recycle Bin. The CYA Recycle Bin itself focuses just on the user-level restoration of documents and folders that may have been accidentally deleted.
Thanks for a great site and for helping spread the word about this and other great ECM- and CMS-related solutions.
Regards,
Lauren LaFronz
