Ricoh Corporation and Open Text Align to Integrate GlobalScan into Livelink's Content Management System
Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, and Open Text(TM) Corporation, provider of Livelink, the leading collaboration and content management software for the global enterprise, announced today that Ricoh's GlobalScan software platform can now seamlessly integrate with Livelink. The GlobalScan Plug-in for Livelink provides a complete document capture solution for processing all paper-based documents. The ease of integrating these two systems will be demonstrated at LiveLinkUp Orlando 2003, Open Text's annual users conference underway this week, November 3-6 in Orlando, Florida.
The GlobalScan Plug-in for Livelink has been designed to allow users to quickly and efficiently introduce important paper-based documents from a Ricoh Aficio multifunction product (MFP), into Livelink for storing and managing along with other business critical content. The Plug-in will allow users to login to the Livelink platform, directly from the LCD panel on the MFP, and scan, index and route documents to a specific workplace, folder or compound document. The LCD panel guides the authorized user through a menu of services, streamlining the capture and processing of paper-based documents.
