Sun to Resell Interwoven ECM Products
Sun Microsystems is beefing-up its partnership with Interwoven, agreeing to resell Interwoven’s Java-based Enterprise Content Management(ECM) products.
Sun will target deals that include their Java Enterprise System software, Sun Fire enterprise servers, and StorEdge data storage offerings.
“We don’t do portals or storage like some other CM companies might, and they don’t have a footprint in ECM,” explains Steve Patterson, VP of Alliances at Interwoven. “There are no competing agendas.”
Sun and Interwoven will collaborate around enterprise content and records management, secure storage and archiving, identity management, and business process compliance.
“Working with Interwoven enables Sun to offer an end-to-end solution which includes the data management aspects as well as the provisioning and delivery of content services,” said Chris Wood, CTO Data Management Practice at Sun.
