Thunderhead announces agreement with Documentum to supply Thunderhead Platform around the globe
Thunderhead Ltd., the provider of highly-usable, standards-based document generation technology, today announces that it has signed an agreement with Documentum that will see the Thunderhead Platform supplied to Documentum customers around the globe, as the basis of a next-generation solution.
After a rigorous evaluation process, Documentum, the leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM), selected the Thunderhead Platform to tightly integrate with its industry-leading ECM platform. The resulting solution − named Dynamic Content Services - will enable organizations to automate and accelerate the high-volume creation, assembly and delivery of personalized documents across multiple channels such as email, web, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and print.
Dynamic Content Services is designed for regulated industries such as investment and retail banking, insurance and other financial services, which rely on high-volume, document-intensive processes as the foundation of their core business.
With the combination of the highly scalable Documentum ECM platform and the Thunderhead Platform, organizations will be able to streamline processes and reduce operational costs, while simultaneously improving document accuracy and managing the risk of non-compliance. A key feature of the solution is that it enables non-technical business users to remain in control of all aspects of the document publishing process, removing the cost and time delays associated with dependence on IT.
“We are extremely pleased that Documentum has selected the Thunderhead Platform to deliver next-generation Dynamic Content Services,” said Glen Manchester, CEO of Thunderhead Ltd. “Now Documentum customers around the globe will be able to take control of the creation and delivery of personalized documents across multiple channels and a range of touch points.”
About Thunderhead Ltd.
A leader in the document generation industry, Thunderhead Ltd. is focused on developing next-generation technology that automates the creation and assembly of high-volume multi-channel documents.
Thunderhead is the world's first document generation platform to be built purely around XML, and the first to use natural language algorithms and usability theory to put the business user (rather than IT specialists) firmly in control of the document generation process.
Our technology occupies a key position on the boundary between content and application, where these two domains are merging − driven by the demands of real time information delivery and Straight Through Processing goals.
