VillageEDOCS to Acquire Questys Solutions

SaaS document management provider VillageEDOCS will wrap up the takeover of Enterprise CMS pioneers Questys Solutions by the end of the month. The deal was due to be rubber-stamped by the beginning of January, but Village exercised an option to extend the deadline by a month to finalize details.
VillageEDOCS provides on-demand document management, delivery procedures and workflow services to enterprises. They offer industry-specific solutions tailored to healthcare providers, financial services companies, manufacturers and other sectors.
Document management like email compliance and archiving and enterprise-wide fax management is delivered through a Software as a Service (Saas) model, which integrates with other enterprise software in the client's organization.
VillageEDOC also provides accounting and billing solutions for local governments through its Tailored Business Systems subsidiary, and voice and data delivery services through it GoSolutions subsidiary.
The publicly-listed company is based in Santa Ana, CA. It reported 30% revenue growth for the first three quarters of 2007 over the same period for 2006, so it's stated acquisition-based growth strategy appears to be paying off.
Takeover target DBA Questy Solutions has been in the Enterprise CMS field since 1980 and claims to be 'among the first to bring document imaging to the PC'.
The company's core products are Questys Enterprise Document Management and Questys Pro Document Management, both of which are 'complete document imaging and content management systems scalable from stand-alone and departmental systems to enterprise-wide solutions.'
