The acquisition of Jambok brings social learning to SuccessFactors on a very approachable level, and aims to improve productivity and knowledge by injecting it throughout the BizX Suite.
SuccessFactors acquired the enterprise collaboration software company CubeTree last summer for US$ 50 million, and has since integrated it into its BizX Suite in order to provide a centralized environment from which all employees can collaborate across departments and teams. Adding Jambok, especially its video element, will likely make good on the company's social goals.
"By solving a much larger comprehensive opportunity of making employees productive, not only on regulatory compliance, we intend to grow our expanding learning offerings faster than the market” said Lars Dalgaard, CEO and founder of SuccessFactors.
Jambok also marks the company's fourth acquisition in the last year. In addition to CubeTree, SuccessFactors also grabbed up Inform for US$ 40 million, and cloud-based analytics platform YouCalc for an undisclosed amount.
