The joint offering delivers enterprise-class CMS functionality at a fixed monthly cost to small to medium-sized businesses. Hmmm, having worked with Web CMS solutions for some time now, the idea that any sort of Web CMS, whether hosted or not, is "turn-key" is just not accurate. Hosted + $$ and time for implementation and customization services = "turn-key". There's just no two ways about it. Every organization has X number of unique requirements and those will always be a high priority. Hosted Web CMS saves on up-front licensing, hardware, and personnel costs, but is not what we would call "turn-key".
Note that this announcement must be causing a bit of a stir at Atomz
, who also offer a hosted CMS solution for the SMB market segment.
