Day Developing JSR 170 Components for Oracle
Day Software, a provider of content management and content infrastructure software, has announced an agreement with Oracle Corporation to develop JSR 170 compliant components within a strategic technology partnership.
Day is the initiator of JSR 170 (the Content Repository API for Java Technology and standard for enterprise content), and is leading a global industry expert group, including technology vendors such as Oracle, IBM, FileNet, SAP and Sun, which jointly developed the standard.
The JSR 170 standard is expected to have a continuing impact on the Content Management Industry, enabling the separation of infrastructure services from application services, and Day has been instrumental in this area (see related story).
