Content connector and enterprise search company, BA Insight will use its Longitude Connectors to connect the newest version of SharePoint to about 30 different business related enterprise systems, upon its release in November.
BA Insight has been a frequent collaborator with Microsoft offering connectors that pull content in from over 30 different applications into SharePoint and FAST Search. By integrating their Longitude Connectors with SharePoint 2013, BA insight gives customers the opportunity to improve their enterprise and overall business productivity.
What Does BA Insight bring to SharePoint?
BA Insight aims to make SharePoint a more efficient system. This goal is achieved not only with the Longitude Connectors, but with other tools, such as the Longitude-based AptivRank which keeps a detailed account of what searches a user makes, so that future searches are more efficient and users can be more productive. Another tool that will be included to enhance SharePoint 2013 upon its release will include TotalView, a packaged Search-Based Application (SBA).
Longitude Connectors & the SharePoint Relationship
“With significant new capabilities in team collaboration, social and web content management, SharePoint 2013 is positioned to manage even more of the Enterprise’s core business processes,” said Guy Mounier, Chief Executive Officer for BA Insight. “Integrating line-of-business information within SharePoint is fundamental to this, and for our customers moving to SharePoint 2013, full compatibility of our Connectors is essential.”
The Longitude Connectors provide a single location (SharePoint) for all types of information including information, people and expertise. They are fully integrated with Active Directory and have comprehensive security mapping capabilities.
BA Insight will be demonstrating its range of connectors and other solutions at the upcoming SharePoint conference in November.
