Are you dedicated to making your data transparent throughout its lifecycle? Earlier this month, Queplix provided a solution for migrating data across systems and this week they yet again demonstrated their commitment to upholding the integrity of data. Thanks to two new products, Virtual ETL and CloudETL, the process of extracting, transforming and loading data has become easier.

Mix 'n' Match Connnectivity

By harnessing the power of data virtualization, users are able to configure Queplix's Application Software Blades to connect to target applications, while reducing the time required to integrate applications. With VirtualETL, ETL teams can connect any two enterprise applications (with the professional-class version, users can connect any two applications that use relational database management systems). With CloudETL, users can connect any two cloud-based applications or connect a cloud-based application with one that is on-premise.

What this does exactly is provide advanced data virtualization at the expense of legacy systems. Being able to mix-and-match any combination of relational, object, cloud or XML-based applications means that ETL can be set up without using SQL for connectivity or for defining the transforms, normalizing data and tuning the quality of the data. A closer look at each of the three platforms reveals their connectivity and flexibility.

Enterprise-class VirtualETL

  • Users can connect any two applications.
  • One of the applications can be SAP and PeopleSoft.
  • Either may be connected with any other enterprise application or customer application that uses any relational database.
  • Users can choose from any of Queplix's Application Software Blades to license and configure a VirtualETL system.

Professional-class VirtualETL

  • Users can connect any two applications that use relational database management systems,
  • Systems are generally custom-developed and do not have an API.
  • Can use Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 or MYSQL in any combination, including all three past releases of these products.
  • Users can choose from any of Queplix's Application Software Blades to license and configure a VirtualETL system.

CloudETL

  • Users can connect any two cloud-based applications or connect a cloud-based application with a relational database application that is not cloud-based.
  • Includes support for Netsuite and SalesForce.
  • Users can also choose from Taleo, RightNow, relational applications (including on-premise applications) and other popular cloud-based applications.
  • Includes a “One Hour” integration kit, which provides components users need to integrate and align customer data, resolve data quality problems and move integrated sources into production.
  • Includes a license for any two Queplix Application Software Blades required.

ETL = Effective, Tidy, Low-Cost

Not only does advanced data virtualization save 75% or more of the time required, VirtualETL also proves useful in a wide variety of IT initiatives. By being able to separate data from the source application to use it in new ways, VirtualETL can power the ETL process to move individual fields or new Virtual Fields into the target application. This allows users to assemble new virtual elements helpful for managing data, virtually and on-premise.
