It's SharePoint time again as this year’s conference kicks off in Anheim, Calif., for four days of demonstrations and releases. With a more than a year gone since the release of SharePoint 2010, there are now dozens of releases of products to the market, and many more as this conference will show.
With the doors only opening on the conference, a whole list of products have been announced that might be worth a look if you happen to be there. Some of those include:
Metalogix’s Upgraded Migration Manager
Metalogix keeps up the frenetic rate of upgrades and releases today with a number of releases that will, the company says, speed the rate of data migrations to SharePoint by as much as 1000% as well as improve the quality of those migrations.
Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint 5.0 includes performance enhancements to address the need for speed when moving, upgrading or migrating SharePoint, including multithreading technology.
These performance enhancements provide gains in migration speeds, while simultaneously ensuring high fidelity movement and integrity of SharePoint environments.
Additionally, the company announced enhancements to Metalogix StoragePoint, with performance-enhanced job timing automation that reduces Binary Large Objects (BLOB) externalization processing time up to 50%.
NewsGator, Colligo Networks Team Up
NewsGator and Colligo Networks have announced they are joining forces to combine social computing, email management, and document repository content as an integrated body of business knowledge.
The partnership combines the SharePoint 2010 collaboration platform, NewsGator Social Sites 2010 social computing suite and Colligo’s software for email management in SharePoint, as an integrated solution that extends email content to the social realm and is designed to improve user participation and the quality of data and interactions.
The platform allows email messages and attachments to be uploaded to social communities and surfaced and targeted in a user’s activity stream. It also comes with enterprise search capabilities designed to streamline collaboration by making it easier to find email messages, documents and the social conversations around them.
KnowledgeLake Unity
KnowledgeLake will be demonstrating its upcoming Enterprise Content Management product, KnowledgeLake Unity
Unity enables system administrators to add configurable buttons to any business application for scanning and searching SharePoint content.
The company says this will increase productivity and user adoption by decreasing the learning curve for end users. Unity also comes with packaged integration templates for common business applications, as well as a drag-and-drop configuration wizard to reduce the complexity of implementation.
Adapx Upgrades Capturx
Enterprise collaboration vendor Adapx has announced a new release of Capturx for SharePoint 2010.
With the new Capturx release, Adapx says, teams can accelerate data capture and collaboration using Microsoft SharePoint 2010, paper forms, mobile devices and standard industry digital pens from Anoto.
The new release of Capturx for SharePoint focuses on additional mobile device functionality, customizable views and quicker workflows leveraging SharePoint 2010.
Idera’s Diagnostic Manager 2.6
Idera, which provides management and administration software, for has also released Diagnostic Manager 2.6.
