Microsoft have announced the completion of the 2007 Microsoft Office system code and confirmed its release to manufacturing (RTM). This gold code milestone concludes the largest Microsoft Office beta program to date, with more than 3.5 million people downloading Beta 2.
“We've crossed the development finish line,” said Jeff Raikes, president of the Microsoft Business Division.

The press release makes no mention of Sharepoint (MOSS) being included in the RTM, yet the title of this article specifically says that it is.
SharePoint is part of the "Microsoft Office System" now and by announcing the office system RTM, Microsoft have announce the release of the sub-products. There is plenty of support for this deduction via sources close to Microsoft. As usual, the press release is only part of the story.
I still see no evidence that Microsoft has RTM'ed MOSS. Office 2007 desktop programs are available on MSDN downloads, but there is no trace of any MOSS server. If you have followed the MOSS industry, you would also know that it is by all means no where near ready for release. Microsoft hasn't even settled on MOSS pricing yet.
Shan,
I know firsthand from MS personnel that SharePoint 2007 has been RTM'ed and MS have deployed the RTM version internally. Additionally, pricing is available, just call your MS rep and you can have it too. Finally, if you look at MSDN, the betas are no longer there and the whole structure has been updated. The builds are not yet there as of today, but rest assured, they will be soon.
Does anyone know when the download for MOSS 2007 will be available on MSDN for download? I can't find the MOSS beta 2 dowload on MSDN... you've mentioned that it's been taken down.
The first round of official pricing is Open/Volume licensing and is PUBLICLY available on http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/mpla. Also the final product is now available to all Microsoft partners who participated in the beta and rapid-deployment program. There is no "release candidate" version - the latest beta 2 Technical Refresh (out for several months now) can be upgraded/migrated to the production version
MOSS has not been RTMed yet, but will be shortly.
Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 has been RTMed. The download link is http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d51730b5-48fc-4ca2-b454-8dc2caf93951&DisplayLang=en
I stand corrected - Microsoft has RTMed MOSS 2007 - so much for the accuracy of my internal Microsoft contacts. Here is the link to the MOSS 2007 Trial download: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2e6e5a9c-ebf6-4f7f-8467-f4de6bd6b831&DisplayLang=en

What does MOSS stand for again?
MOSS stands for:
Massively Overengineered Software Solution
or possibly
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
not sure which - maybe you can guess?
:)
