Zoho is bringing its impressive lineup of Web-based office apps from the desktop to smartphones with the arrival of Zoho Docs and Zoho CRM for Android (available now) and. Zoho Projects for Apple's iPhone, which will be available shortly.
Zoho on the Go
At its Zoholics 2012 event for Zoho users, the web-based office app and productivity company is showing off its latest smartphone efforts, Zoho Projects for iPhone, plus Zoho Docs and Zoho CRM for Android users.
With Zoho Docs (a read-only app) and Projects already available on iOS, Zoho Projects for iPhone will soon join the club as a dedicated app that offers mobile access to project activities, to-do lists, and timesheet information. Going a step further than the Docs app, it can let users create and edit tasks on the go, manage hours worked and record notes.
Zoho Docs for Android mimics the iPhone version with read-only access to your web-based docs while Zoho CRM for Android is a dedicated Android app that simplifies customer relationship management for mobile sales professionals and others using Zoho CRM, the company’s on-demand customer relationship management software.
Zoho Docs for Android helps take your documents with you
Highlights of the Android version of Zoho CRM include the ability to have access to contacts, accounts, potentials, leads, tasks, events and call logs in Zoho CRM as well as supported modules and edit information when offline or out of mobile range or later updating. Mobile apps for Zoho are free of charge to download but users of the CRM app will require a subscription to the Zoho CRM Mobile Edition at $3 per user, per month.
