There’s reason to believe in social media monitoring startup Visible Technologies (news, site). The company recently raised US$ 22 million in Series C funding, totaling their pot to a nice US$ 34 million. The dollars came from Investor Growth Capital, while previous backers Centurion Holdings, Ignition Partners, In-Q-Tel and WPP, also participated.
Monitor your Mission
Like Sysomos or Scout Labs, Visible Technologies boosts communication between consumers and companies by offering products for monitoring brands on social media apps and networks (like Facebook and Twitter), as well as reputations.
Visible Technologies solutions include:
truPULSE is an RSS feed-based Web monitoring application. Using the tool, organizations can begin listening to and assessing online conversations about their brand from multiple sources within mainstream media.
- Assign and track conversational tone brand
- Centrally manage Twitter engagement
- Promote posts on Facebook, MySpace, Digg, del.icio.us, and Twitter or share them via email
- Uncover research trends and comparisons between issues and brands
- Identify crisis and customer service issues
- Receive email alerts on hot topics
- Log response activity to track and manage your efforts
It's no secret that online reputations matter. Visible Technologies claims that 93% of people never go beyond the first page of search engine results. Their truREPUTATION tool tracks a corporate reputation by looking at search engine results as well as social media and blog results related to a company and its employees, and lets a user know whether those results are positive or negative.
This platform allows users to listen to and measure what consumers are saying about brands across the social media landscape. Users can then participate in these discussions by placing the right messages in front of the right audiences for a more direct connection.
Media Monitoring + CRM = <3
Visible Technologies is also getting up close and personal with popular CRM software, such as that of Salesforce.com or Oracle.
Visible Technologies might soon be a company hear you, as they are reportedly using the new money to expand to international markets as well as invest in product development and engineering. Keep a watch with us here.
