Nitro Impresses Even Jaded PDF Consumers
California-based Nitro PDF Software, the PDF tool vendor, has announced the release of Nitro PDF Express. A bargain basement deal that put some nifty PDF tools at your fingertips for less than US$ 50.
The software unleashes a new set of PDF tools including utilities for creation, conversion, extraction, file combination, file splitting, batch processing, and PDF security. Users can now create PDFs quickly and easily from over 200 different file types, and will have complete control over the documents’ security.

One-click PDF creation
Nitro PDF Express enables users to create PDF files directly within Microsoft Office applications with a single click. Additionally, Express is multi-format compatible, allowing users to create PDF files from any printable format.
Edit with ease
Editing existing PDF content is now, “one-click” easy by converting the PDF into Word, users can edit content and re-convert into PDF. Additional PDF editing capabilities include, easily extracting pages individually, or in a batch, and the ability to shuffle pages with in a document.
Make presentation-ready files in a flash
Enabling presentation-ready documents in a flash, users can now effortlessly, and instantly, combine a wide range of different files, including text, images, and charts into a single self-contained PDF file.
Batch Document Processing
Nitro PDF Express offers a convenient batch processing functionality. Users can run batch sequences across collections of PDF files to reduce repetitive tasks. In addition, users can create batch sequences from any number of commands, including securing and optimizing documents, splitting, deleting, inserting and rotating pages.
Security
The built-in security features guard against disclosure of sensitive information in the case of loss or theft. Capabilities enable users to encrypt files, prevent unauthorized access, and restrict sensitive operations. Additionally, users can set permissions, which provide control for document viewing, printing, editing, and copying and can all individually be turned on or off, or secured with password protection.
We’ve covered PDF generation utilities previously, including the open source PDFCreator project. Yet, we do have to agree that Nitro Express hits a consumer software sweet spot at what appears to be a near perfect intersection of price and features.
