Add a Little Web CMS to Your Life with the CM Pros Summit
![]()
Interested in harnessing Web 2.0 and the latest in CMS technology? The Fall 2007 CM Pros Summit would be a good place to start.
We know that ongoing advances in content management tools are changing the way organizations and their staffers work. But where does one begin implementing this technology into a business or organization?
The Summit, presided over by the CM Pros, will focus on the importance of web CMS in maintaining workplace efficiency through collaboration, lowering cost of production through process improvements and workflow routing, and of course, delivering relevant content with impeccable accuracy.
Benefits of localization and translation will also be touched upon.
In addition, the Summit will feature presentations, workshops, and roundtable discussions intended to demystify the wonders of web CMS strategies, tools, standards, and technologies.
Salim Ismail, head of The Brickhouse at Yahoo!, is slated to deliver the keynote address. His presentation will focus on what he considers to be “Internet 3.0”, or the Web as a Content Management System. This “third phase of the internet” is centered around routing relevant, device-and platform-independent, structured content to the right people and places, in the right format at the right time.
Ismail is an angel investor and entrepreneur who is heading up Yahoo’s new program for rapid web product development, the Brickhouse. He's considered by some as a go-to guy for internet technology presentations, and serves as an advisor for various startups.
You can check out his unfortunately titled blog, You’ve Got Ismail (sigh), to get up to date on his latest happenings.
The event will be divided into three tracks which attendees are free to mix and match as they please. The tracks cover:
- Web 2.0
- Web Strategy
- Web Technology
Cost for admission is US$ 395 for members (US$ 295 if you register before September 30), and US$ 495 for non-members (US$ 395 before September 30). Registration for non-members will include a free first year CM Pro membership.
Visit the CMS Pros website for a detailed itinerary and registration info.
