Ektron is getting so busy it opened up a Partner Portal to help meet the needs of their customers worldwide. We are fairly certain that it's not because Gartner gave them the highest ranking possible in their Marketscope for Web Content Management -- but it probably didn't hurt.
In their on-going effort to grow and support their global channel program, Ektron has created this online 24x7 community for their partners.
The portal will offer resources such as:
* Deal registration
* Order Processing
* Technical Support
Add to that a vast knowledge base of sales tools, marketing collateral and technical documentation and you just hear their partners squealing in delight.
Ed Rogers, chief operating officer at Ektron said that "During the course of development [of the portal], we sat down and consulted with numerous partners to find out what they wanted in a portal. In return, I am pleased to say we have created a community platform that will promote stronger relationships and provide the vital tools necessary to deliver the highest levels of service to our mutual customers worldwide."
The Partner Portal provides each partner with a unique log-in and community space for all their employees. This includes all the benefits of all the modern day social networking community: blogs, bulletin boards, basic document management and access directly into the Ektron Development Center.
In addition, partners can communicate with their Partner Sales Manager and technical support though the community.
It sounds like a pretty nice Partner Portal Ektron has developed. From their press release, it seems like a few partners are already getting excited to get logged in.
