Norwegian Web Content Management providers eZ Systems have beefed up their Board of Directors by hiring three new members, each bringing a wealth of experience to the table.

Who are these shiny new faces and where did they come from?

  • Tom Jørgensen has been brought in as chairman of the board, coming to eZ with over 20 years of executive management experience in the media industry. This man is no small fry, as he is currently Chief Operating Officer of Mecom Europe, which is one of Europe’s largest media groups, with over 700 million EUR turnover and operations throughout the continent. He was also an Executive Vice President at Denmark’s largest newspaper publisher, Berlinske Officin.

  • Richard Seibt is focusing on Open Source projects and serves as an Advisor to Open-Xchange, Inc. Before this, he served as President of Novell Europe, Middle East and Africa, where he led all aspects of Novell’s operations in EMEA, including the integration of SUSE LINUX within the company.
  • Bjørn Skare is a serial entrepreneur, having built three small Norwegian technology firms into international companies, with headquarters in the US. He last worked as CEO of Scali Inc, a Boston-based cluster software provider with Intel Capital, Atlas Venture, and Verdane Capital as primary investors. These are all quite lofty achievements, and we’ll see if he can top those, sitting on the board of eZ Systems.

This new talent is sure to be of benefit to the ever-growing eZ Systems. With over 2 million downloads of their eZ Publish CMS Solution to boast about, as well as the recent addition of their eZ Find search utility, the future of eZ Systems is looking bright indeed.
