FatWire Reports 40% Year-Over-Year Revenue Growth

Fatwire, the company that provides web content management software, has reported strong results from fiscal year 2008. This last year was the company's strongest ever, with year-over-year revenue showing a 40% increase and reaching US $44 million in sales in the period ending December 31, 2008.
Much of FatWire's growth stemmed from international demand for their Web CMS product — Fatwire Content Server 7.5 the latest release of which came out late last year. In fact, the company reported a 30% increase in international demand for their products and a 60% growth year over year for international professional services.
Another added source of revenue was FatWire's customers requesting ongoing maintenance packages compared to 2007. As for new customers, FatWire reported more than 50 new customers acquired in 2008.
It is good to see another content management company faring well in these rough economic times. We hope that as companies tighten their belts worldwide, content management continues to be a growth area in the software world.
