Fresh from this month's launch of a UK-based operation, Ektron's expansion continues into the southern hemisphere with the opening of new offices in Sydney, Australia. Ektron has chosen Sydney's business hotbed, Norwest Business Park, as the location for their Asian-Pacific presence.
With Ektron's CMS400.NET product being deployed by multiple customers across Australia and New Zealand including the West Australian Department of Treasury, Bank of Queensland, and the Commonwealth Bank; it makes perfect sense for the company to expand their operations to the land down under. Hoping to build on the short-term success that Ektron has had in Australia and New Zealand, the new operation is primed to tap into the approximately US$10 billion of the world's spending marketplace.
The establishment of an outpost so far removed from their home base in New Hampshire requires careful selection of a person to oversee the venture. Ektron's leadership has placed the fledgling office in the hands of a twenty year Australian web development industry veteran. The newly appointed MD of Ektron Pty Ltd., Marius Coomans, had this to say about the new opportunity:
“Global customers demand the most comprehensive technology to successfully manage their online presence and with CMS400.NET’s functionality, our APAC customers have achieved this key objective,... New customers such as the Sydney Opera House and Blake, Dawson, Waldron, Australia's fourth largest law firm, have already realized the success that an effective Web presence can provide."
Ektron's flagship CMS400.NET product -- which was recently upgraded to version 7.0 -- is an all-in-one web content management platform that features extensive Web 2.0 capabilities.
The latest release enables organizations to rapidly create, deploy and manage interactive and participant oriented Web sites with a single native .NET application.
