What happens when Connexion, a prominent European integrator of multilingual communication solutions teams up with Web CMS Software vendor Hot Banana? For the European headquarters of Ingersol Rand, the equation yielded a rapidly deployed, multi-lingual Intranet for new staff.Leveraging recent collaboration work with Hot Banana, the new 'Welcome to Ingersoll Rand' Web site was parsed into seven languages in an exceptionally short time frame. The Connexion/Hot Banana localization solution automates the export of Web content, facilitates the human translation process with Translation Memory Systems, and publishes the resulting translations online.
Not only is the new system online and integrated with the company's Microsoft Active Directory, it can securely be taken offline in a number of ways. The system can generate flat html files for use offline. Additionally, it can be exported to PDF and printed for reading away from electronic devices. Putting even more of a twist on things, both of these formats can be automatically exported to a customized USB flash drive for some lovely take home reading. Care for some frites with that?
