Kentico_Logo_2009.jpgKentico (news, site) expands its presence in the market with a new enterprise hosting solution via its new partner, Intermedia. Intermedia is a comms specialist offering email and messaging, which all adds up to a practical and convincing services bundle.

A Hosted Offering

Kentico is boosting its portfolio by tacking on hosting provided by Intermedia's hosting platforms, along with a few other additional services. Intermedia's niche is email, messaging and collaboration. Tie them all together and you have a neat little bundle, offering everything for the growing enterprise.

The deal will help users run the Web CMS on any of Intermedia’s Windows Web hosting platforms. The solution could appeal to those companies looking to move services off site and into the cloud, or for those starting up and not wanting to blow a sizeable chunk of their budget on hardware and licensing costs. It also enables a company to concentrate on design and development, rather than building technical systems.

Backing up any project, be it a company intranet, store or portal, will be 24/7 support, the ability to create sites out of existing web parts and a battery of useful facilities including WYSIWYG editing, SEO optimization and search.

Supporting New Technologies

Users with a cutting edge need will be pleased to know that Kentico recently announced support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The Kentico CMS runs on .NET Framework 2.0, Microsoft SQL Server and IIS, using ASP.NET 2.0 or higher.

Kentico is available as a logo-badged free edition, as a trial version or an online virtual demo, so there's little excuse not to give it a try.

The full version starts at US$ 749. Anyone planning to sign up with Kentico or resell its products may want to give it a week, as the company is starting a new Partner Program very soon offering discounts.
