Kentio Web CMS Supports .NET 2.0

The latest release of the Kentico Web CMS now supports both ASP.NET 1.1 and the emerging Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 platform, Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005.

The platform options support both developer preferences and migration status as well as the potential to take advantage of Microsoft's free Express Editions of Visual Web Developer and SQL Server 2005.

“The new ASP.NET 2.0 platform and Visual Studio 2005 give web developers very powerful tools. However, the most important point for us is the release of free Express Editions of Microsoft Visual Web Developer and SQL Server 2005. It can help us, as well as other ISV’s, reach many new developers who wouldn’t normally invest in development tools and database servers,” says Petr Palas, founder of Kentico Software.

Kentico plans to support both ASP.NET 1.1 and 2.0 platforms for the foreseeable future.
