Microsoft CMS Web Controls Suite Updated

Our ever impressive ASP.NET controls vendor, Telerik, has recently released the latest version of the r.a.d.controls MCMS Edition.

The suite of ASP.NET Server Controls includes the popular r.a.d.editor MCMS Premium Edition, the the r.a.d.menu MCMS Edition , the r.a.d.tree MCMS Edition, the r.a.d.panelbar MCMS Edition, the r.a.d.tabstrip MCMS Edition, the r.a.d.chart MCMS Edition, and .a.d.tabstrip MCMS Edition. Phew.

As if that's not enough, there's also the FREE r.a.d.editor Lite Edition for MCMS.

The r.a.d.editor acts as a direct replacement for the standard Microsoft rich text placeholder control. The other controls serve as general purpose (and very useful) UI widgets for web developers.

The new major release of the editor presents a rich set of features which bring browser-based content authoring almost to the level of convenience and familiarity of desktop word processors, like MS Word.

The notable ones include: multilevel Undo/Redo with action trails, dockable and floating toolbars, multiple editors with a single toolbar, custom context menus, system modules, new features for pasting from Word, client-side API, WYSIWYG table editors, and much more.

Having used both the MCMS edition controls and Telerik's standard version of the control, I can say that they are extremely worth considering for any ASP.NET and/or Microsoft CMS project.

The price tag on the MCMS Controls suite starts at USD $1,799.00. This gets you the full set of controls and entitles you to run them on one production server (any number of CPU's) and any number of dev and staging servers.
