Stellent Acquires Content Management Solutions Provider in Mexico
Stellent, Inc. announced today it has acquired Content Management de Mexico, S.A. de C.V., a content management solutions provider who has offered sales, support and training services for Stellent products across Mexico and Central America since 2001.
Stellent purchased the company for $750,000 in cash and certain contingent considerations based on revenues generated in Mexico over a two-year period.
“We are pleased to officially welcome Content Management de Mexico into the Stellent family,” said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. “The company has been helping customers generate substantial return on investment from their Stellent implementations for more than three years. With this acquisition, we have strengthened Stellent's sales and delivery capabilities in that region, where the opportunity for selling content management solutions to large- and medium-sized corporations and government institutions continues to grow.”
“The market for content management solutions is expanding rapidly in this region,” said Arturo Sanchez Arellano, general manager for Content Management de Mexico. “By bringing our services under the Stellent umbrella, we will help the company further penetrate this lucrative market by offering training and support for Stellent products in customers' native languages, and leveraging our understanding of this region's business culture to solidify relationships with customers.”
For more than seven years, Content Management de Mexico has provided sales, support and training services to companies in various sectors of the Internet industry, including TERRA, a major Internet service provider (ISP) in Latin America. Prior to founding Content Management de Mexico, its owners launched OnLine Healthcare Network, a health market portal that forged a strategic alliance with the Thomson Group.
