SDL Tridion, provider of web content management solutions has a just inked a partnership agreement with Nedstat, a European provider of Web Analytics. This new partnership demonstrates the strategic focus SDL Tridion has on interactive marketing. This new partnership will help their shared clients understand their customer's online behavior faster and better -- enabling them to make sound decisions when applying marketing messages. For SDL Tridion customers using the Modular Templating in their R5.3 software, template building blocks for various Nedstat tags are available to insert into templates.
This tag management approach is possible through the use of Nedstat's Sitestat product. The integration of the two is known as Sitestat Enabler.
“With SDL Tridion’s new Sitestat Enabler, implementation time of the Sitestat code and error possibilities are brought down to a minimum,” said Michael Kinsbergen, CEO of Nedstat. “Online managers have almost immediate access to the detailed Web behavior reports of their customers, prospects and other visitors.”
A quick review of the Sitestat product shows that it has a range of reporting functionality that many organizations need. You can get reports on Campaigns (email, search, banners and affiliate marketing), basic content navigation and search, and conversion (measure downloads, registrations and purchases). Web Analytics is a key requirement of any web site. How else will you know what your customers are doing on your site, what they are looking for, what they like the most? The integration of WCM and analytics is common among many SaaS WCM products. So it's not surprising to see it become more integrated in on-premise solutions.
The Sitestat Enabler is free of charge to joint SDL Tridion and Nedstat customers and will be downloadable from the SDL Tridion Forum site. You can find out more information about the Sitestat product on Nedstat's website.
