UX Week 2008 in August
We recently told you about the upcoming goings on at UX Week 2008 in San Francisco in August. But there's more to UX Week 2008 than just the user experience. The Subject to Change book fiesta, for example. On Wednesday, August 13 from 6:30 - 9:30 PM (PST), the authors of Subject to Change (O'Reilly Media) offer registrants an opportunity to learn more about this innovative book, as well as to "dig deeper into the emerging field of experience strategy and design and meet some of the best in the industry". The book's authors, Peter Merholz, the president of Adaptive Path, and Brandon Schauer, Todd Wilkens, and David Verba set out to offer clear guidelines and a breakthrough toolset for designing and testing new products and services that will succeed in today's unstable and fluctuating economy. Called a fiesta for a reason, the event will also host several noted conference speakers, including Don Norman, author of The Design of Everyday Things and The Design of Future Things, Audrey Chen from Comedy Central’s thedailyshow.com, and Michael B. Johnson, head of the Moving Pictures Group at Pixar. Each will be on-hand to answer questions. If you haven't already registered, your schedule is Subject to Change. Learn more about UX Week 2008. Early bird rates are still available.
